Odisha’s Shradhanjali appointed asst coach for U-17 girls football team

Cuttack: All India Football Federation (AIFF) has announced former footballer from Odisha, Shradhanjali Samantaray, as the assistant coach of national under-17 girls football team.

The national under-17 girls football team will go into practice from July 1 till 15 in Delhi for the upcoming BRICS U-17 Football tournament scheduled in South African city Johannesburg in December this year.

Shradhanjali, the former captain of India women’s national football team, was appointed as the assistant coach of the national team for fourth time.

Earlier, she had successfully delivered her duty as the assistant coach of India’s U-16 Girls Football team for the 2015 Asian Football Confederation Cup.

She was the coach of Odisha women football team in Bhubaneswar. The state team had performed well in several tournaments during her tenure as the coach.
