Odisha’s singing star Satyajit Jena to train under AR Rahman

Odisha’s singing sensation Satyajit Jena added another fur to his cap by getting offer from Oscar award winner and India’s music maestro AR Rahman in ongoing Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs 2017 aired on Zee TV yesterday.

Expressing his pleasure on the performance by Satyajit in the music reality show, Rahman offered him seven-day training at his studio.

Rehman, who joined the programme as the special guest for May 13 episode, was impressed by Satyajit’s performance. The 11-year-old boy sang one of the songs of Bollywood blockbuster film ‘Roza’ composed by Rahman and was able to win heart of the music legendary in the show.

He secured 99% score from the juries for his outstanding performance in the episode.

Commending him for his performance, Rahman said, “I think your pitch perfect and I love the crack which happened the last, that was extra fitting”.

Satyajit, who is also known as the composer at the little age, Rahman asked him to sing one of his music compositions.

Hearing one of his compositions ‘sab mata aur pita ke charno mein…’, Rahman offered him for one-week internship at his studio.

“You are welcome to my studio for one week for internship”, he told Satyajit.

Notably, Satyajit had received the highest percentage of voting in last episode. He is the most adorable contestants in the show for his finest voice. He has received huge applause for his extraordinary performances in all the episodes till the date.
