Odisha’s SOA University to conduct countrywide admission test tomorrow

SAAT-2015, the national-level test for admission into different courses run by the various institutes under the SOA University in Odisha, will be held at 70 centres spread across 46 cities in the country tomorrow.

SOA University LogoPreparation to conduct the admission test into various programs in under-graduate and post-graduate courses have been completed in 24 urban centres in Odisha and cities outside the state including New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

The other cities where the test will be held include Lucknow, Chandigarh, Nagpur, Raipur, Ranchi, Patna, Guwahati, Jamshedpur, Bokaro, Durgapur, Kharagpur, Visakhapatnam and Kota.

The test, comprising three sittings, will begin at 9 AM and end at 4.30 PM.

The admission will be for 20 under-graduate programs and 44 post-graduate programs.

The programs will include the newly-introduced B.Tech in Biotechnology at the under-graduate level, M.Tech in Renewable Energy, M.Sc in Nano Science and Nano Technology, M.Sc in Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, M.Sc in Molecular Biology and M.Sc in Chemical Biology and Drug Design.

The institutes under the SOA University are the Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), the faculty of engineering, Institute of Medical Sciences and Sum Hospital (IMSSH), the faculty of medicine, Institute of Dental Sciences (IDS), the faculty of dental science, Institute of Business and Computer Studies (IBCS), the faculty of management, Sum Nursing College (SNC), the faculty of nursing, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (SPS), the faculty of pharmaceutical science, SOA National Institute of Law (SNIL), the faculty of law and School of Hotel Management (SHM), the faculty of hotel management.
