Odisha’s SOA varsity to conduct national quiz event on Oct 26

Bhubaneswar, Oct 21: SOA QuizWiz, one of the biggest national-level quiz events for college students across the country, will be held at the Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), the faculty of engineering of the SOA University in the Odisha’s capital city on October 26.

This will be the fourth edition of the quiz competition in which students from both within the state and outside have been regularly participating.

The contest this time is set to get sharper and bigger as students studying at the Plus Two level have also been allowed to participate.

Till last year, only undergraduate students were invited to take part in the event.

SOA QuizWiz has come to be known for the quality of quizzing and the prize money on offer (winner of the contest taking home a purse of Rs 100,000 while the runner-up is presented Rs 60,000 and the third spot finishers winning Rs 40,000).

Attractive prizes are to be won by other participants as well.

Well-known quiz master from New Delhi, Kunal Savarkar will conduct the event this year.

The event will start at 9 AM with the preliminary round following which the six finalist teams would be chosen.

Each team will comprise two students including those from different institutions. Outstation participants would be provided accommodation for the day.

Students desiring to participate in the quiz, who could not register online, are requested to send a mail to [email protected] or [email protected] by October 25 informing of their intention to participate in the event.
