Odisha’s weightlifters Sneha, Jhilli in Indian team for Championships in Aus

Bhubaneswar: Two weightlifters from Odisha Sneha Soren and Jhilli Dalabehera were selected in Indian team for Commonwealth and Oceania Championships to be held on September 3-9 at the Gold Coast in Australia.

The two budding talents will represent the country in the weightlifting competition. They were selected in the team following three-month training camp held in Patiala.

While Jhilli, a student of Bhubaneswar Sports Hostel, will take part in 48 kg junior category competition, Mayurbhanj girl Sneha has been selected for 48 kg youth category event.

Earlier, both had bagged many medals in national level competitions following which they became the deserving faces in the team.
