OJEE 2017: Over 50k students appear exam in Odisha

Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) 2017 began today. Approximately 52,560 students appeared the examination for admission into various undergraduate, postgraduate and lateral entry courses except MBBS and BDS in the State.

The examination is being held at 88 centres in 21 towns of Odisha. The examination is being conducted in three sittings. The first sitting exam began at 9 am till 11 am. The next sittings are scheduled at 12 pm to 1 pm and 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm.

The district collectors and SPs have been directed to tighten the security at the centres where the number of candidates is registered more to appear the exam.

The examination is being held amid tight security at all the centres. The invigilators along with a superintendent have been asked to manage the examination in each centre. The exam centres have been directed to ensure smooth conduct of the exam. The results will be announced in first week of June. The successful candidates will be eligible for admission into the courses like MBA, MCA, Pharmacy, Lateral Entry Engineering, BMM and BHMAS, informed OJEE president Tushar Nath
