OJEE exams done away with

Joining the mainstream of All India Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) main examination, the Odisha government today decided to do away with the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) entrance examinations in the state for students aspiring for an engineering course.

Students desirous of pursuing engineering courses in and outside of the state next year will have to appear the All India JEE main entrance examination on April 6, 2014 to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

There would be two ranks for the students who qualify in the examination. Students in the state rank would study in their home state while students in the all India rank are eligible to study in any engineering colleges in the country.

To appear at the All India JEE examination, the students have to apply between November 14 and December 26.
