OMFED goes online in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Good news for OMFED customers in Odisha as their favourite milk products will be now made available at their doorstep just in one click.

The Odisha State Cooperative Milk Producers Federation (OMFED) has signed an MoU with e-commerce partner Grozip for digital marketing of all OMFED products and home delivery.

The MoU was signed by Grozip’s GM Basant Mishra and MD Ananda Mishra in presence of OMFED Chairman Sarojini MIshra and MD Vishal Gagan on Tuesday.

OMFED has been providing the quality milk procured from over 3 lakh dairy farmers and 4000 dairy cooperative societies across the state. It aims to make its milk available in entire country and subsequently in worldwide market.

Through Grozip.com, Odisha’s Milk Federation OMFED affiliated to the National Dairy Development Board will reach its customers within three hours.

With the digital platform, OMFED along with Grozip will enable customers to make order online for the products like milk, curd, paneer, butter, dairy whitener, sweet flavoured milk, ice-cream and other desserts.

Initially, the online service will be made available in twin city of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. Subsequently, it will be extended to other major cities in Odisha.

For the first time, OMFED will sell its products through e-commerce platform. With Grozip, OMFED is planning to launch its full-fledged exclusive online B2C segment for the first time in India.

With new initiative, OMFED is now targeting 1,00,000 online consumers within the first quarter of going online.
