2 killed, 14 injured as bus hits dumper in Odisha’s Tangi

Tangi: At least two persons lost their lives and 14 others sustained injuries after a bus hit a stationary dumper from rear on NH-16 near Bainchua under Tangi police limits in Odisha early this morning.

While the driver of the bus and a passenger died, five of the victims were admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack as their condition turned critical, reports said.

The ill-fated bus ‘OMKAR’, bearing registration no OD-02K-8757, was on its way to Bhubaneswar from Digha in West Bengal.

On being informed about the road mishap, police reached the spot and rescued the injured ones.
