One killed in elephant attack in Odisha’s Dhenkanal

Kamakshyanagar, Aug 4:

In a tragic incident, a person was killed in an elephant attack at Bandhania village in Kamakshyanagar forest range of Odisha’s Dhenkanal district, last evening. The deceased was identified as Rajendra Hembram.

According to sources, Hembram was killed yesterday by an elephant when he was returning home from crop field. The family members of Rajendra searched for him at different places but in vain.

They spotted his body lying at the field this morning and informed the Forest Department officials.

The Range officer and police reached the spot and seized the body which was later sent for postmortem.
