One more Covid patient in Odisha succumbs; death toll at 1,922

Bhubaneswar: Another Covid patient in Odisha succumbed today taking the death toll due to the viral disease in the State to 1,922. According to the data provided by the Health and Family Welfare Department, a 29-year-old female Covid patient died today while undergoing treatment at a hospital. She was a resident of Khordha district.

The H&FW data further stated the deceased was suffering from sickle cell disease along with sickling crisis and hypothyroid.

Earlier in the day, the data provided by the State government mentioned that a total of 471 new Covid positive cases have been detected in last 24 hours.

As many as 278 positive cases were detected while being in quarantine whereas 193 cases were local contacts.
