Cuttack, Nov 4;

Pitamber Jena, Vice President of Odisha Olympic Association (OOA) passed away due to an illness induced by old age at a private nursing home due to old age illness on Monday morning.

He was associated with Odisha Swimming Association as Secretary and Working President of Cuttack District Athletic Association.

Asirbad Behera, Honorary General Secretary of Odisha Olympic Association said Jena’s untimely death is a great losston the field of sports in Odisha.

Samir Dey, President of OOA, said in his death, Odisha sports has lost an able administrator.

Dey presented a garland and the Odisha Olympic Association flag on his body while Binod Dash, President, Rowing and Sculling Association of Odisha, Sanjeeb Dutta, Joint Secretary and Satya Mohanty, Treasurer of Odisha Cricket Association were present with other members of Odisha Olympic Association to pay their last respects to the departed sports administrator.
