Bhubaneswar, Mar 31:
Self professed godman Sura Baba alias Surendra Mishra appeal for conditional bail was heard on Wednesday in the Orissa High Court. Justice Sangam Kumar Sahoo partially heard the bail application of Sura baba and his son Trilochan Mishra.
In their bail application Mishra has claimed that the Chhatrapur land grab case is completely baseless and therefore they should be granted bail.
Crime Branch (CB) had entered case diary and documents in court. The investigation agency also submitted a written denial for the bail application to the High court.
The next hearing will take place coming week, when the CB will present its argument against the bail appeal.
The father-son duo are demanding a bail in a case going on in Chhatrapur SDJM court in connection with an alleged land grab in Chhatrapur.
Earlier a complaint had been lodged by Motiram Sahu in Chhatrapur Police Station alleging land grab against the self proclaimed godman.
