OTET question leak: Odisha BSE lodges police complaint

Cuttack: The Odisha Board of Secondary Education (BSE) today filed a complaint at the Mangalabag police station here in connection with the OTET question paper leak incident.

BSE president Jahanara Begum lodged the complaint at the police station hours after Crime Branch ADG Santosh Upadhyay suggested the Board to do the same so that investigation into the question paper leak could be initiated.

The BSE had earlier written a letter to the agency seeking probe into the leak and arrest of the culprits.

Notably, the OTET exam was cancelled by the BSE on January 16 after the question paper got leaked. Photos of the question paper surfaced and went viral on social media while the first sitting of the examination was underway. After the conclusion of the first sitting, several examinees confirmed that the original question papers matched with the leaked ones.

Terming the incident as unfortunate, BSE president Jahanara Begum had said the new dates of reexamination will be announced soon.
