As per the orders of Orissa High Court, the second Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) will be conducted today to fill up vacant seats in various private technical colleges across the state.

Around 11,490 students will be appearing the examinations at 18 centres in Bhubaneswar. The one-hour entrance test will begin at 2.30 pm. The students will attempt 60 multiple choice questions during the stipulated time.

State Technical Education Minister Sanjay Das Burma had announced that second OJEE would be conducted on July 31 and the results of the test will be declared on August 3. The successful candidates can download their rank cards the following day. Besides, candidates will be required to register online for admissions from August 5-7 and final allotment of seats will be made on August 10, the Minister had said.

It may be mentioned that the High Court had directed the state government on July 19 to conduct second OJEE following a writ petition by the Odisha Private Engineering Colleges Association (OPECA).

The Association had urged the intervention of the court to direct the state government to conduct second OJEE for admission in BTech, MBA, MCA, Lateral Entry MCA and, Lateral Entry Tech vacant seats in these private institutions.
