“This was essentially a courtesy call and I was able to brief the Chief Minister about the efforts of MEA (Ministry of External Affairs) in easing the passport services and taking them to the people. We will be having more than 20 passport seva kendras (PSKs) in Odisha in the next few months,” the official said speaking to reports after the meeting.

“In 2017, three new PSKs were opened and in the next two weeks, another three PSKs will be opened at Balasore, Berhampur and Bhawanipatna,” he said.

“The CM also mentioned about some Odia people stuck in Malaysia and a request has been made by the state for making Bhubaneswar Airport available for e-VISA holders. I will take these issues back to Delhi and we will be able to tackle them with the help of Minister of Home Affairs,” he added.
