Over Rs 2 lakh looted from businessman at gunpoint in Odisha

Unidentified miscreants looted Rs 2.34 lakh from a businessman at gunpoint in Odisha’s Dhenkanal  district this morning.

According to police, the incident took place when Saroj Kumar Sahoo, a grocery wholesale businessman of Mendapada village under Parjang police limits, was on his way to Cuttack in a pickup van for marketing.

Two bike-borne miscreants intercepted Sahoo near Baliapur forest and threatened him and the driver of the vehicle showing mauser.

The robbers later looted Rs 2.34 and mobile phone from the businessman and fled the spot.
