Paes, Sania in US Open finals

Indian tennis aces Leander Paes and Sania Mirza entered the finals of their respective categories at the US Open here.

Women’s doubles top seeds Sania and Swiss Martina Hingis defeated Italian 11th seeds Sara Errani and Flavia Pennetta 6-4, 6-1 in one hour and 17 minutes.

Later, mixed doubles fourth seeds Paes, also partnering Hingis, defeated second seeds Indo-Chinese Taipei combine of Rohan Bopanna and Yung-Jan Chan 6-2, 7-5 in just over an hour. (IANS)
