‘Pahada Ra Luha’ gets top award in Nasik International Film Festival

Adding a feather to his cap, Sabyasachi Mohapatra’s ‘Pahada Ra Luha’ has been awarded the best Odiya movie in the Odia film category in well known Nasik International Film Festival (NIFF).

The movie which took the Odia director 25 years to make has been recently awarded the best Odiya movie in the best Odia movie category in the 63^rd National Film Awards ceremony.

The two hour movie depicts the problems faced by the simple tribals of Niyamgiri hills owing to modernatisation, rampant mining, Maoist activities and displacement issues.

Mohapatra won the National Award in the same category for the second consecutive time this year.
