Paradeep-Visakhapatnam weekly super fast train flagged off

The Railway ministry today introduced a new weekly super fast train from Vishakhapatnam to Odisha’s Paradip.

Vizag-Paradeep Weekly super fast expressUnion Railway minister Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu flagged off new trains including Visakhapatnam-Paradeep-Visakhapatnam weekly super fast express in a function at New Delhi today.

At Visakhapatnam railway station, local MP Dr Kambhampati Hari Babu and MLA Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar were present on the inaugural run of Visakhapatnam-Paradeep weekly super fast express.

The train will run as a special train from Visakhapatnam at 1430 hours and reach at Paradeep at 2315 hours. It will return from Paradeep at 2355 hours on the same day and reach Visakhapatnam at 0930 hours on the following day.

The regular run of this train from Visakhapatnam will be from February 15 and from Paradeep from February 18.

As per the schedule, 22810 Visakhapatnam-Paradeep weekly express will leave Visakhapatnam at 2350 hours o­n every Sunday and arrive at Paradeep at 0930 hours o­n the next day. In the return direction, 22809 Paradeep-Visakhapatnam weekly express will leave Paradeep at 22230 hours o­n every Wednesday and arrive at Visakhapatnam at 0835 hours o­n the following day.

The train, having one AC-2 tier, three AC-3 tiers, seven sleeper class, six general second class coaches and two guard-cum -luggage vans will have stoppages at in its composition having stoppages at Vizianagaram, Chipurupalli, Srikakulam Road, Naupada, Palasa, Somepeta, Ichhapuram, Brahmapur, Chhatrapur, Balugaon, Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Mancheswar, Cuttack and Rahama.
