Parent-Teacher Meeting for Class 10 students in Odisha on Feb 13

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government today directed Education officials to conduct the state-wide parent-teacher meeting (PTM) on February 13, 2021 for class 10 students only.

In a letter to the District Education Officers, District Project Coordinators, Block Education Officers, the Odisha School Education Programme Authority’s Director BS Poonia stated the parents of Class 10 students will attend the PTM.

“The maximum duration of the meeting shall be two hours only. The HMs of the high schools are allowed to decide the timing of the meeting in the scheduled date without hampering the instructional hours of the school,” the letter read.

The HM will intimate the parents about the meeting prior to seven days from the commencement of the PTM through notice clearly indicating time and agenda of the meeting.

Also, the Education officials were directed to visit at least two schools for smooth implementation of the meeting. They will capture and share their observations of the PTM with the OSEPA.

The DEOs were directed to submit the block wise PTM data to the OSEPA by February 17, 2021 in a particular format.

The government has chalked out a 100-day academic plan for Class 10 and 12 students from January 8, 2021 after schools reopened across the State.

Worth mentioning the annual HSC exam will be held during May.
