Patient at DHH, six others in Odisha’s Jharsuguda test positive for COVID-19

Jharsuguda: As many as seven more persons including a patient from the Jharsuguda District Headquarters Hospital tested positive for the deadly COVID-19 in the district today.

As per reports, a 54-year-old person from Beheramal area complained of illness and sent his swab samples for tests couple of days back. But when his condition deteriorated today, the person visited doctors at the Jharsuguda DHH and got himself admitted to the hospital’s medicine ward.

There was a mild tension at the district headquarters hospital after the person’s reports released today afternoon mentioned that he has tested positive for coronavirus. The person was then shifted to a COVID hospital in an ambulance.

Sources said three positive cases were from Brajrajnagar area while three others were from BGR Camp in Lakhanpur.

Till yet, a total of 282 persons from the district tested positive for COVID-19. Of them 212 have recovered and the number of active cases stands at 69. One has died of the disease in the district.
