PDS dealer killed in road mishap in Talcher; locals block road   

Talcher: Tension mounted at Kuio village under Angul police limits in the district after locals staged a road blockade today protesting death of a PDS dealer in a road accident in the locality last night.

The angry locals staged the road blockade by burning tyre demanding compensation for family members of the deceased. Vehicular movements on Angul-Kuio road were disrupted due to the blockade.

On receiving information, police and district officials reached the protest spot and were trying to pacify the mob till last reports came in.

Sources said the PDS dealer identified as Santosh Nayak (45) was killed after being hit by an unidentified vehicle when he was walking on the the village road at around 9 PM yesterday.
