Petrol station staffer looted of Rs 1 lakh, cheque of Rs 30 lakh in Odisha

Paradip: Unidentified miscreants allegedly looted Rs one lakh and a cheque of Rs 30 lakh from staffer of a petrol station in Odisha’s Paradip town today.

According to reports, victim Akshay Pani was heading towards a bank on a motorcycle carrying the cash and the cheque for depositing the same in the account of the petrol station. Around 11 am, two bike-borne miscreants intercepted him at Kumbhira Park chhak and threatened him with knife.

The duo then snatched away the amount and the cheque from his possession and fled the spot. Pani has lodged a complaint in this regard with Paradip police. A case has been registered in this connection and efforts were on to identify and trace the looters.
