Picnic bus-truck collision in Odisha’s Angul leaves 41 injured

Angul: A head-on collision between a picnic bus and a truck near Gotamara under Banrapala police limits in Odisha’s Angul district late last night injured as many as 41 persons.

According to reports, around 60 persons of Badahata and Thakurapatana in Kendrapara district were on their way to Rourkela in the bus for picnic when the ill-fated vehicle and a truck collided head-on.

On being informed, police and Fire personnel reached the spot and rescued the victims, including 17 women and 4 children. The injured ones have been admitted to the Angul district headquarters hospital.

Police have started investigation into the incident.
