Police bust spa-sex racket in Odisha capital, 2 held

Bhubaneswar:  The ugly underbelly of booming spa and massage parlours in Odisha capital exposed once again as police today busted a sex racket running under the garb of a spa.

Acting on a tip-off, the Commissionerate Police raided a spa in Laxmisagar are here and found the flesh trade was going on in the name of giving health massages.

The cops arrested two men and rescued three women for their alleged involvement in the prostitution racket, sources added.

Earlier the police had conducted raids at several spas and massage parlours in Bhubaneswar suspecting these establishments are turning to be safe heavens for running sex racket.

Police had once said a lot of the girls are lured, duped or forced into sexual slavery by pimps and traffickers, largely due to poverty and lack of opportunities.
