Police station sealed in Odisha as cops test COVID positive

Bhadrak: Dhamnagar police station in Odisha’s Bhadrak district has been sealed after some of the staffers including a police official tested positive for COVID-19.

Entry to the police station premises has been prohibited by the local administration. The police station was today sanitized by Fire Service personnel. Swab samples of rest of the police station staffers have been collected for COVID-19 test.

Those who wish to lodge complaint or FIR at Dhamnagar police station have been requested to do the same at Bhandaripokhari police station for the period of 7 days.

On the other hand, seven police personnel of the district have tested positive for the virus, official sources said.

Worth mentioning, lockdown has been imposed in Bhadrak Municipality and Dhamnagar NAC from July 20 to July 31 along with weekend shutdown.

All commercial/private offices, establishments & institutions/shops/street vending etc. within Bhadrak Municipal area and adjoining areas (up to Aradi Chhak/Samaraipur GP under Bhadrak block) and Dhamnagar NAC shall be allowed to remain open between 5 am and 1 PM on weekdays (from Monday to Friday).
