“The Commission was forced to resort to a tariff hike due to a steep rise in coal prices and the Central Electric Regulatory Commission (CERC) directive to increase tariff,” informed OERC secretary G K Dhal.

In comparison to the 2014-15 fiscal, there has been a hike of 4.64 percent in the average retail supply tariff.

However monthly minimum charges and meter charges remain unchanged.
