Pradeep Maharathy pledges Rs 50L MLALAD funds for COVID-19

Bhubaneswar:  Following footsteps of party Supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, BJD MLA Pradeep Maharathy today pledged Rs 50 lakh from his MLALAD funds for awareness and prevention of the deadly coronavirus in his constituency, Pipili.

The legislator today wrote a letter to Puri Collector Balwant Singh requesting him to release the funds for its utilization on war-footing basis.

“I intend to utilize an amount of Rs 20 lakh each for Pipili and Delanga blocks and Rs 10 lakh for Pipili NAC under my constituency out of my MLALAD funds towards awareness, protection, prevention and improved medical facilities to fight against the deadly virus,” the MLA wrote in the letter.

“In furtherance of the united effort to save our citizens from the pandemic COVID-19, we should take urgent measures to counter the virus,” the letter read.
