Bhaum Pradosh Vrat 2021 Date: November 16 (Tuesday).

Pradosh Vrat Puja Muhurat – 05:27 PM to 08:07 PM.

Tithi Begins – 08:01 AM on Nov 16, 2021.

Tithi Ends – 09:50 AM on Nov 17, 2021.

Pradosh vrat is observed on the Trayodashi tithi (13th day) of both Krishna Paksha and Shukla Paksha.

It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.

Pradosh vrat can be observed by all irrespective of the age and gender.

There are two different methods of fasting for Pradosh vrat. In the first method, devotees observe strict fasting during 24 hours of the day. In the second method, fasting is observed from sunrise to sunset while it is broken after worshipping Lord Shiva in the evening.

One hour before sunset, devotees take a bath and get ready for the puja. In some places, the worship of the Shivling is also performed.

The devotees listen to the Pradosh vrat katha or read stories from the Shiva Purana.

Also, Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra is chanted 108 times.

After the puja, most of the devotees visit the Lord Shiva temples for darshan.
