Pregnant woman from Bihar alleges fraud by husband, files complaint in Odisha’s Balasore
The woman, who is two months pregnant and hails from Bihar, came all the way from Hyderabad to her husband's native place in Soro, seeking justice.
Soro: Accusing her husband of fraud and deceit, a 22-year-old pregnant woman has reached out to the police and filed a complaint in Soro town of Odisha’s Balasore district on Monday evening. The woman, who is two months pregnant and hails from Bihar, came all the way from Hyderabad to her husband’s native place in Soro, seeking justice.
As per reports, one Abhinash Parida of Sabira under Soro police limits was working in a restaurant in Hyderabad where the woman too was working. The duo met and fell in love. In December last year, they got married in a temple and then the next month had a notary marriage. However, as per the woman’s claims, Abhinash absconded with her laptop, mobile phone, jewellery and Rs 60,000 cash a few days back. Despite her desperate attempts to get in touch, Abhinash was inaccessible which ultimately forced her to come all the way from Hyderabad to Soro and filing a police complaint.
While police has registered a case, the woman has been sent to a correctional home for the timebeing and further investigation is on, official sources said.
