Probe into infant deaths in Cuttack Sishu Bhavan begins

Bhubaneswar/Cuttack, Aug:

A four-member committee headed by the Chief District Medical Officer CDMO Cuttack this afternoon begun its investigations into the recent spate of infant deaths at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Post Graduate Institute of Paediatrics (SVPPGIP), the premier paediatrics hospital in Odisha also known as Sishu Bhavan, Cuttack following orders from the Principal Secretary Health Arati Ahuja.

The committee will submit its report to the state government this evening.

The committee was constituted after a high-level meeting chaired by Health and Family Welfare Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak reviewed the situation by analyzing individual reports submitted by the Cuttack Collector and Cuttack CDMO on the infant deaths at Sishu Bhavan.
