As part of the process, camps have been set up at different localities in Puri town to take photographs and inclusion of other details of members of the sevayat families.

A maximum of seven members of a sevayat family will be entitled to treatment for ailments subject to a maximum coverage of Rs 2 lakh per annum under the scheme.

Sevayat families will be provided with health cards for the purpose.

A total of 9,000 family members of 1,940 sevayat families enumerated as per 2013 socio-economic census of sevayat familes will benefit under the scheme.

Puri town has been divided into eleven zones for the purpose and photographs and other details of sevayat families will be recorded in camps set up for the purpose.

Photographs of sevayats will be taken on two different dates in each zone, the second date being for those who miss the first date.

On Wednesday, camps for taking photographs were organized at Bali Sahi Akhada, Rani Mutt and Goudabada Sahi Akhada premises. On Thursday, photographs will be taken at Markandeswar Sahi High School, Bada Odia Mutt and Bhitara Sevayat Niyog premises.

“The exercise has begun from Tuesday and will continue till January 31. Photographs will be taken on different dates in each zone to cover all those who had missed the first date.  The SJTA has informed all sevayats to avail the benefit under the scheme. All arrangements have been made to cover all in the exercise,” said Laxmidhar Pujapanda, PRO SJTA.

“We came to know that photographs are being taken for issue of Health Cards. So, I have come with my family of four to get our photographs recorded though there is a provision for maximum seven members of a family. It will be a great help for sevayat families,” said Rabinarayan Mohapatra, a sevayat of Shree Mandir at the Bali Sahi Akhada camp.
