Provide answer sheets copies to another 55 students: Odisha HC

Cuttack: The Orissa High Court today ordered Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to provide copies of answer sheets to another 55 Class-XII students who had moved the court alleging discrepancies in the board exam results.

A bench of the court comprising of Justice B R Sarangi issued the order to CBSE today after conducting the hearing on separate petitions filed by the students.

On the other hand, the CBSE today by filing a misc case sought more time from the High Court to execute its earlier order of June 13 for publishing results of the petitioners by June 30 after re-evaluation of their answer sheets.

The CBSE prayed the court for more time to publish the results though the process for re-evaluation of answer sheets has begun.

Notably, the High Court in its June 13 order had directed the CBSE to publish the results of 159 students by June 30, who had petitioned the court alleging large-scale discrepancies in their results. The Court had further directed CBSE to reply on the matter within three weeks.
