Puri Gajapati meets Odisha CM, puts forth 5 proposals for Sri Mandir’s devp

Bhubaneswar: Puri Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb today met Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the State Secretariat here and made a presentation featuring five proposals related to the development of Shree Jagannath Temple in the holy town.

“We put forth five proposals before the Chief Minister. Firstly, Sri Mandir Parikrama– a proposal for development works around the temple and renovation of three mathas near it. Secondly, development and beautification of Gundicha Temple. Thirdly, development of the heritage garden at Jagannath Ballav Matha and amenities for tourists there. Fourthly, beautification of Bada Danda and finally, development of Atharanala, an entry point to Puri town, and restoration of the concerned water body,” Dibyasingha Deb said after the meeting.

Information & Public Relations Minister Pratap Jena said the state government is taking the proposals positively. Next course of action over the proposals will be decided after submission of a Detailed Project Report (DPR), he said.
