Puri-Hatia Tapaswini Express catches fire in Odisha

Puri: As many as four bogies of Puri-Hatia Tapaswini Express were gutted after it caught fire at Puri Railway Station here today.

The massive fire broke out at four compartments S2, S3, S4 and S5 of Puri-Hatia Tapaswini Express when the train was standing on the platform number 4 in the afternoon.

Sources said that the S4 compartment of the train has been completely gutted in fire.

However, no casualty was reported so far in the incident.

Three fire tenders were pressed into action to douse the flame.

The cause behind the fire is suspected to be short circuit.
