Puri, June 30:

Venting out his ire on the ‘diktat’ of the Sri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), which had asked him to climb the chariot alone without his disciples, Shankaracharya of Gobardhan Peeth Swami Nischalananda Saraswati today said he has taken up the matter with utmost seriousness and it is the Odisha government which will face the consequences of its own action.

“Till now, I have remained silent over the situation while acting on my conscience. Every reaction has a reaction. The state government has no guts to take any action against me. If it takes any action, it would face the consequences from tomorrow”, the seer told reporters after his meeting with Union Petroleum minister Dharmendra Pradhan today.
