Railways MoS Manoj Sinha to visit Odisha tomorrow

Union Minister of State (MoS) for Railways and Communications Manoj Sinha will visit Odisha tomorrow to attend BJP’s Tiranga Yatra and review the performance of the Railways.

He will visit the native place of Chandan Hajuri, also known as Chakhi Khuntia, in Puri tomorrow as part of the BJP’s ’70 Saal Azadi-Zara Yaad Karo Kurbani’ campaign. Besides, he will also visit Panchasakha Peetha at Satyabadi on his way to Puri, said the state unit of BJP.

According to a press notification issued by East Coast Railway, Sinha will lay the foundation stone of the improvement of the circulating area of Puri Railway Station during his tour of the town tomorrow.

He is also expected to review the performance of the Railway and the progress of various infrastructure related projects which are crucial to the industrial development of Odisha and northern Andhra Pradesh. Passenger amenities at stations and on-board services on trains are likely to feature prominently in the meeting.

Sinha had visited Odisha in December 2015 and again in April 2016, and had advised for speedy completion of pending railway projects such as the Khurda-Bolangir line. He had taken special interest and had assured that funds would not be an issue for any railway project in the state.
