Rain likely to spoil Diwali festivities in these places of Odisha

Bhubaneswar: While Diwali festivities have gripped entire Odisha, possible rainfall in four districts of the state might play spoilsport in the celebrations.

The Regional Meteorological Centre has predicted occurrence of rain in Balasore, Bhadrak, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj today.

The north-south trough from east Bihar to Gangetic West Bengal extending upto 0.9 km above mean sea level might cause the rainfall, the Meteorological Centre said.

It may be recalled here that rainfall triggered by a low pressure over Bay of Bengal had dampened Diwali celebrations in many parts of the state last year.
