More rainfall in Odisha likely from June 30

Bhubaneswar, June 25:

Some parts of Odisha are likely to receive rainfall in the next 24 hours under the influence of a trough line formed over the state, said the local Met office in a release here this evening.

“Going by the satellite data inputs, it is likely that the state would receive more rainfall from June 30 as there is a possibility of formation of a low pressure along Odisha and West Bengal coast on July 1. However, some parts of the state would receive rainfall in the next five days till June 29,” the release added.

Meanwhile, rainfall recorded in the last 24 hours was highest in Keonjhar (36.9 mm) while the state capital recorded 15.4 mm rainfall.

The IMD bulletin has warned of heat wave conditions at isolated places in Odisha on Thursday.
