Rains in Odisha in the next 24 hours, says Met dept

Bhubaneswar, June 16:

With the temperature coming down in most parts of Odisha today, the local Met office has predicted the onset of rainfall in the next 24 hours.

rains in bhubaneswar“The hot wind blowing from the north-west across Odisha has started coming down gradually. It would not only bring down the temperature in the state, but also activate the south-west monsoon which is most likely to touch the Odisha coast in the next 48 hours”, Dr Sarat Sahu, director, Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar told the media this afternoon.

He also said that the formation of a cyclonic circulation formed over the north-east Bay of Bengal and a trough line, most parts of the state, especially the interior and north Odisha, would receive more rainfall in the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, temperature went up to 40 degree Celsius and above in eight places in the state today with Titlagarh as the hottest place with 42.5.
