Rare African bird dies in Nandankanan

Bhubaneswar, Oct 19:
A rare male African flightless bird Kasuari was found dead inside the enclosure at Nandankanan zoo on Friday.

The 15-year-old bird, put at enclosure no-70, was brought from a Malaysian zoo in 1999.

The death of the bird would be known after the autopsy, the zoo authorities said.

The zoo is now left with one female Kasuari.
