RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan in Odisha capital, visits KISS

Reserve Bank of India Governor Raghuram Rajan today visited KIIT & KISS during the first day of his three-day tour to Odisha.

He visited various campuses of KIIT and units of KISS. He discussed with the officials of KISS regarding the financial model of KISS and its management.

During his interaction with KISS officials he said, KISS which was started with only Rs 5000 and how it has groomed to this kind of organization, this is really beyond imagination. I need to understand the financial model and I want to know how you are managing this. Giving high-quality education to so many children, it’s a model itself. It’s an incredible experiment, he added.

He said, it needs study how such kind of model is being managed. He thanked Dr Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS for his selfless hard work and he congratulated for this. As a successful economist, Rajan has taken various steps to boost up Indian Economy and brought down inflation and he also took various reforms in Indian banking sector.

Among others Pradipta Kumar Jena, Regional Director, RBI, Bhubaneswar; Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS; R. N. Dash, Secretary; Prof. P. P. Mathur, VC, KIIT University; Dr. Sasmitarani Samanta, Registrar; Dr. P. K. Routray, CEO, KISS; Surjyakant Mohanty, COO, KISS and officials of RBI and other bank were also present.
