Repolling in nine booths on April 25

The Election Commission today ordered repolling in nine booths in Odisha on April 25.

The directive of the Commission came following the recommendation of chief electoral officer (CEO) Mona Sharma.

Sources in the office of the CEO said repolling in these booths would begin from 7 AM and end at 5 PM.

It may be recalled that the CEO, who on Sunday had recommended repolling in six booths at Niali in Cuttack district and one at Telkoi block in Keonjhar district, today sought approval from the EC for repolling in two more booths, one at Ghasipura in Keonjhar district and the other at Aul in Kendrapara district.

Polling in these booths was disrupted due to violence and rigging during the second phase polls on April 17.
