Reports from 11 inquiry commissions are yet to come : Odisha CM

Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday informed the Odisha Assembly that out of a total of 20 inquiry commissions set up since 2000 under the Commission of Inquiry Act, only nine have submitted their reports.Assembly small size

Replying to a question of BJD member Dilip Ray, the chief minister said the Justice AK Parichha Commission of Inquiry set up in 2001 to probe into the police-lawyers clash in Puri is yet to submit its report.

Similarly, Justice Basudev Panigrahi Commission of Inquiry probing into the Raighar police firing in 2001, Kandhamal riot in 2008 and Laxmanananda Saraswati murder, Justice AS Naidu Commission of Inquiry probing into Kalinganagar police firing in 2006, Commission of Inquiry by the District and Sessions Judge, Dhenkanal into Bhuban police firing in 2009, another inquiry commission probing into Bagalapur police firing in Cuttack in 2010, Justice SK Mohanty Commission of Inquiry probing into the death of two engineering students in Bolangir in 2009 have not yet submitted their reports, Patnaik informed the House.
