Kyrgyz woman rescued in Odisha unwell

The Kyrgyzstan national alleged sex worker recently rescued by Odisha police was taken ill and has been admitted to Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar.

The woman on Sunday had high fever and was suffering from diarrhea and vomiting. She has been admitted to Capital Hospital yesterday.

The police have appealed to hospital authorities for an HIV test of the patient, according to sources.

Meanwhile, the Twin City Commissionerate Police is in touch with the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in this connection. The rescued woman is here in India on a tourist visa. The validity of her visa would expire on March 31. She would be handed over to officials of her country’s embassy on their arrival here, police sources said.
