Resentment brews: BJD’s Bijepur block president resigns

Bhubaneswar: Political environment pertaining to the upcoming Bijepur assembly constituency bypoll is gradually garnering warmth as Bijepur block president of Odisha’s ruling party BJD, Radheshyam Mohapatra today resigned from the post.

In his reaction, Mohapatra said late Congress MLA Subal Sahu’s wife Rita Sahu was inducted into BJD but no discussion was held in this regard with the party’s leaders and workers.

Worth mentioning, BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik has already announced Rita Sahu as the party’s candidate for Bijepur bypoll.

Rita Sahu, her son Sumit Sahu and hundreds of their supporters had joined the conch party on September 23.
