Making the announcement at a media briefing here, BSE president Prof Dakshya Prasad Nanda said the Board has targeted to announce the results by the end of April.

“Evaluation in 70 valuation zones was concluded this evening. We had asked the camp officers to report at the Board’s head office here after collecting the answer sheets from these zones. While we had received the papers from 2-3 valuation zones yesterday, we hope to receive the remaining papers and the mark foils of the papers of the last five days of the examination today,” Nanda said.

Stating that the online evaluation of OMR sheets is underway and would be concluded very soon, the BSE chief said the Board has begun the process for announcement of results as it has sent the answer sheets of the first five days of the examinations to the computer firms without waiting for the remaining papers to avoid delay.

“The Board, which had announced that it would complete the evaluation in 10 days, has succeeded in its effort,” he said.

He said the timely completion of evaluation this year was made possible by some reforms measures initiated by the Board as well as engagement of 16,000 teachers in the evaluation process.

The evaluation of annual HSC papers had begun on March 17.
