Retired Horticulture official in Odisha Vigilance net

Cuttack: Vigilance officials today raided the residences of former Additional Director of Horticulture, Bhubaneswar Ramesh Chandra Das on charges of acquisition and possession of property disproportionate to his known sources of income. 

Sources said separate teams of the anti-corruption wing Cuttack Division conducted simultaneous raids at five places associated with him.

The officials searched Das’ double-storied residential building at Jyoti Vihar in Bidanasi of Cuttack, triple-storied building located at Bidanasi road, a double-storied building at CDA, a double-storied building on ancestral land at Ersama Bazar near Jagatsinghpur Community Health Centre (CHC)  and office room of spouse (Headmistress) at Jholasahi UP School in Cuttack. 

However, the exact amount of disproportionate assets that the retired Government official has possessed will be ascertained after completion of the raid, said an official.
