Revised DTS bus fares come into effect in Odisha’s Twin City

The revised bus fare announced by the Dream Team Sahara (DTS) for its passengers in Odisha’s Twin City on Sunday, came into effect today.

Dream Team SaharaDTS chairman Nishikant Mishra had announced that city bus fare, which was Rs 7 for first three kms, has been reduced by two rupees for the first two kms and an additional one rupee for the third km.

Besides, tsmart card holders enjoying 10 per cent discount on fares will also avail the exemption on the revised fares, Mishra had said, adding the revised bus fare would benefit about 75 percent of short distance travelers in the twin city.

Apart from this, DTS has also introduced a special package for long routes from Cuttack to Bhubaneswar and Puri. While the fare Badambadi to Master Canteen in the Capital will cost Rs 25, the fare from Master Canteen to Puri will be Rs 40, Mishra said.

The reduction of fares has come in the wake of the cut in diesel prices by oil companies during mid-January this year.

The DTS handles a daily passenger traffic of around 42,000 of which a majority travels a distance of up to 12 kms.
